The Threat Intelligence Unit provides services for AdaptiveMobile’s clients under the categories of Messaging Abuse Prevention, Messaging Revenue Protection and Signalling Protection.
Signalling Analyst, Threat Intelligence Unit
Reports to: Head of Threat Intelligence.
You will be an integral part of the AdaptiveMobile Threat Intelligence Team, who proactively detect, analyze and protect millions of people worldwide from attacks through their mobile phone. Sitting at the heart of more than 75 operator networks worldwide, AdaptiveMobile protects one-fifth of the world’s subscribers, witnessing in excess of 30 billion mobile events every day from across the globe and is uniquely placed to identify, protect and remediate against the widest range of threats attacking mobile networks
Expert in SS7/SIGTRAN, with emphasis on security, roaming and messaging. Must be able to analyze SS7 network flows.
Knowledge in SIGTRAN (M2PA, M3UA)GSM (MTP, SCCP, TCAP, MAP, CAMEL)CDMA (IS41)Diameter (S6, S9, Sh, SGd)
Knowledge in working with the following nodes: HLR, USSD, GMSC, SMSC,, HSS, MSS, MME, SGSN, PCRF, GGSN
GPRS, DNS, SIP, ISUP, IP Firewalls, Security processes and concepts
Management & customer interaction skills
Work in a small team of highly motivated and knowledgeable signalling analysts, under the guidance of a principal analyst.
Provide analysis and recommendations to clients, and communicate these effectively both orally and in writing.
Maintain appropriate confidentiality and chain of custody of sensitive data.
Keep up to date with telecoms threat landscape and relevant industry standards, publications and recommendations.
Work closely with AdaptiveMobile Product and Engineering in evolving product and service offerings.
