Our core activity is in providing solutions and resources to telecoms, power transmission and distribution, renewable energy and tower infrastructure industries. We provide a full end to end managed engineering service solution that encompasses planning, design, network deployment, integration, upgrade and maintenance.

Through expansion and selectively recruiting key professionals, Obelisk has built a specialised workforce capable of managing and delivering the most complex engineering projects.


Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Access Permits for ESBT, 2RN, Towercom, Maintenance
Safety plans for VF
Uploading docs, reviewing docs and moving them on in OnBase
Recording the safety audits and Near Miss / Good Catches for Mobile and Fixed Line
Assisting with weekly SHEQ reports
Liaising with HR / Training on nominations for Client training
Updating HIVE for inspection records, calibration etc
To support the SHEQ Director in achieving the highest possible Health and Safety standards
Development of risk assessments, method statements, preliminary and construction health & safety plans
To assist in the implementation of the training across the Group
Undertake reviews with the site management team of all high-risk activities
Carry out incident investigations to establish root cause and share lessons learnt
Encourage near miss reporting and implement improvements from such reporting
Liaise with clients or client’s representatives as required and ensure a good working partnership to achieve the best practices in Health and Safety
Set a personal example to lead in the vision, values and behaviours’ of the company
Provide accurate health and safety advice to the Project Management Teams and Site Build and Maintenance Crews
Actively share lessons learnt from any incident investigations
Carrying out safety inspections and reporting findings in writing, weekly to site management with a copy to the central H&S support team
Develop and deliver Health & safety training for all employees as required.
Carry out Health & Safety training when required

Skills & Experience Required

Be persuasive, presentable and confident with a proactive approach
Be impartial during auditing and investigation activities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong relationship management skills
Ability to work under pressure and on own initiative
Superb organisational skills
Good understanding of Telecoms industry
