A Rigging PICW is responsible for the Installation and upgrading of telecommunication sites in line with customer requirements and operating standards. This role is responsible for leading a Rigging Crew to complete builds within timeframes and budgets whilst adhering to all health and safety requirements
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Installs various antenna systems, steelwork, cabling with auxiliary equipment on communication structures, roof tops and other structures in line with customer requirements and operating standards.
Has full competency in the use of the below specified testing equipment relevant to the project.
Site master sweep tests
Antenna SPAA Alignment tool
Fibre testing equipment
Responsible to provide efficient updates to Deployment managers on daily job progress.
Responsible of installing equipment as per specified design drawings
Responsible for the daily Collation and uploading of handover documentation in a timely manner
Conducts inventory inspections and sorts received materials on site.
Trained in all types of feeder cable connector terminations
Responsible for ensuring proper inspection and use of personal safety equipment of the Rigging crew under the control of the PICW.
Ensures that all company equipment is well maintained and in safe operating condition
Spares and stock management of vehicle equipment
Ability to work in a team and provide support and training to individuals with different skillsets.
Follows all company and customer safety policies and procedures, and ensures others adhere to the same
Represent the company and act in a professional manner at all times
Skills & Experience Required:
Familiar working on Eir, Vodafone and Three networks within Republic of Ireland
Proven track record of working as a PICW on similar projects
Must have proven track record of working with the various test equipment eg PIM , Site Master, SPAA etc.
Must be familiar with tower erection, antenna installations on towers, rooftops and other structures
Must be comfortable working at heights
Must be able to read blueprint and assembly drawings
Must be physically fit, be able to lift up to 50lbs
Able and willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Must be able and willing to travel for extended periods of time
Work well on a team
Good communication and organisational skills
Must be able to learn quickly and follow instructions carefully
Possess a valid driver’s license
Must take first aid certification course
Minimum completion of second level education or equivalent
Must be eligible to work in Ireland
Previous experience working on Huawei, Ericsson and Nokia equipment
First aid cert
Working at heights accreditation
Tower rescue accreditation
